This guy ripping off and trying to sell my artwork > [link] doesn't bother me as much as seeing some recognizable recreations from a few of my favorite artist's in his gallery.

I haven't said anything to this person, hopefully people know the real work apart from the recreations.

With that aside...
I wanted to feature some of my art junk that Thistle :iconjoey-zero: has graced with his remarkable skill
that hasn't made it over to my gallery just yet.

You know I may have seen this guy at the London Film and Comic Con two weeks a go. Or at least someone like him. I went up to his stall and was looking through the art he was selling. And amongst a lot of it were yours, obviously traced. I said in a load voice to the person I was with, "You know I think this KidNotorious's stuff. I wonder what it's doing here?" and other similar crap like that.
Probably did diddly squat but still. I don't know how he expected people to believe they were his art when the whole way through the folder were traces of various comic artists with vastly differing styles. *shrugs*
But hey, nothing says you've made it than people stealing your art! :D

Finally someone who isn't spitting and foaming over something like this >_>;; I applaud you for how you're handling this :) 'cause it's always disgusted me a little when an artist has their artwork ripped or stolen and they start posting journals like crazy about how angry they are and send links galore to mass up their fans for an all out assault. I understand their frustration, but it's just not worth it >_>;; Of anything, I've always felt it only encourages people who -do- know better to steal their work just to watch and laugh as the artist gets angry and upset all over again. So thanks for being a positive influence on the artistic community :)

In all honesty though, were I in this situation, I'd probably try at least talking to the guy about it, but mostly just to encourage him to try creating his own original works.

Man, I checked the work and all I can say is wow. Like you said, being copied means you've made it I guess. I imagine Jim Lee goes through this every day.

Like anyone I sometimes copy aspects of a piece I like, or in the instance of my homework refer to specific comic artists to use as examples of style, but selling copied work is down right ridiculous.

And to try and sell BAD copies is just worse.

Loved the stuff that Thistle did too. Looks great with your work.

If you'd like an update, it looks like he modified his site so you can only view his homepage.

Anyone let me know if I'm mistaken. :)

Big fan of your work, and can't wait to see more!

The saddest thing is that he was selling them at the London Comic Con and people have bought them. Shocking.
